Treatment Options
Dr Hormoz has been offering online therapy sessions since 2016 and offers face-to-face therapy sessions in North London.
Initial Consultation
An initial consultation session is offered to allow you and your therapist a chance to meet. This will also offer a space to discuss what you want to get out of therapy and a chance for you to learn more about how therapy works.
Why book an initial consultation?
This can be a chance for you to ask any questions you have, gain a good understanding of what therapy involves and ensure that therapy will achieve what you want from it. Most importantly, it’s a chance for you to meet your therapist and see if you would feel comfortable working with them. 30- or 60-minute consultation sessions are available to book without any commitment. As mentioned above, Dr Hormoz works with a range of problem areas, however, sometimes people come to therapy but are unsure exactly why they are struggling or what they wish to focus on. This can be discussed during the initial consultation and therapy can be tailored to your needs.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of therapy sessions will depend on what you are currently struggling with and the goals you have for therapy. It can also differ depending on the type of therapy you opt for. Dr Hormoz will be able to provide you with a tailored treatment plan and an indication of how many sessions you might need to achieve your goals.
Dr Hormoz will ensure you have regular reviews to think together about the progress of therapy and ensure you are getting what you want from the sessions.

Online Therapy
As well as offering therapy face to face, Dr Emma Hormoz has experience of offering online therapy sessions since 2016.

Following the dependence on online working during COVID19 lockdown, many more people have become comfortable online. Online Therapy offers the same level of expertise, support, and commitment as in person therapy but it can save you on travel time and costs. Furthermore, some people feel more comfortable receiving sessions from the comfort and privacy of their own home or office.
